Hello everyone,
I need interior blinds for various windows and double patio doors (floor-to-ceiling windows). I would like to have a discussion or get some feedback on which factors to consider in order to achieve the "best possible privacy."
1. Slat width:
Slats are offered in widths of 16, 25, 35, 50 mm. Does the width have an influence on opacity? For example, I could imagine that a 45° angle of a wider slat offers a larger reflective surface, where the light is scattered much more than on a smaller surface.
2. Material/color, etc.:
Does the material and/or the color scheme as well as any coatings have an influence on opacity? Or what should one pay attention to in this regard?
3. Anything else?
btw: We have roller shutters but I would like to have the option to let in more light during the day and also improve privacy. We will soon have neighbors who will be somewhat elevated compared to us and will build 2 full stories. I would then like to have good privacy against their line of sight.
