Hello dear Ikea fans,

I want to integrate my washing machine in my new kitchen under the countertop between the sink cabinet and the oven cabinet. The machine has a height of 85 cm plus about 2 cm rubber feet (to prevent vibrations for the neighbors), 45 cm depth, and 60 cm width. So fitting it under the countertop should not be a problem with the 80 cm carcasses plus plinth. Now I would like to hide the machine behind a front panel.

Does anyone have an idea or already have experience with this? My head is already spinning...

Thank you very much for your tips!

P.S.: How much clearance/space should be left on the right and left sides of the machine for spinning?

Hello,
there should be no need to leave any space on the left or right.

1) Buy a METOD frame cabinet, saw off about 10 cm from the sides with the hole rows, screw to the adjacent frames, and install a door as with any other cabinet. On one side, the strip may need to be shorter so that the detergent compartment can be opened.

or

2) Have the strips cut from chipboard, iron on edge banding, and drill the holes for the hinges yourself.
