Hello community,

once again something new from the construction site, today the corner pillars cast on site were insulated.
Is this type of execution still within tolerance?

Thanks and regards

We just looked at the pictures together. My husband's comment: I wouldn't accept that! The company would have to redo it.

That looks like shoddy work. Aren't you being professionally supervised during your construction project? If not, NOW would be the perfect time to hire a construction expert.

This is really botched to the finest... Joints wider than 1mm can no longer be considered professional, I don't have the DIN on hand right now but even common sense tells you that such an installation does not comply with any guidelines...

Further damage is inevitable here

Hello,

This question is answered by the applicable DIN standard. What surprises me much more, and I also wouldn’t accept, is the method of "gap filling". Generally, there are only four types of fastening: 1. Adhesion, 2. Adhesion and dowelling, 3. Dowelling, and 4. Rail fastening; this window foam is in my opinion not intended. Your pictures suggest rough leftover recycling; what does your site manager or expert say?

Rhenish greetings

Thank you very much for the answers, my feeling was not wrong after all. The site manager said that the workers are already allowed to work with [Bauschaum], but also acknowledged that only leftovers were used here and that this needs to be rectified. Gaps of 1 to 2 cm are within tolerance and do not require any rework.
