Good morning,
my wife and I are currently in the preliminary planning phase for the architect meeting. We are considering putting a 270-degree fireplace in the living room. However, it currently looks like if we place the fireplace in the desired location, the chimney flue will run up through the bedroom. From experience, I know that in older houses the chimney flue emits a lot of heat. Since I prefer to sleep at 18 degrees and not at 25 degrees, I would be interested to know if this is still the case with new houses (Allkauf Haus prefabricated house). If so, we would need to find an alternative location for the fireplace.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards
Christopher
