Good morning,

my wife and I are currently in the preliminary planning phase for the architect meeting. We are considering putting a 270-degree fireplace in the living room. However, it currently looks like if we place the fireplace in the desired location, the chimney flue will run up through the bedroom. From experience, I know that in older houses the chimney flue emits a lot of heat. Since I prefer to sleep at 18 degrees and not at 25 degrees, I would be interested to know if this is still the case with new houses (Allkauf Haus prefabricated house). If so, we would need to find an alternative location for the fireplace.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards
Christopher

Hi, I suspect that Allkauf Haus, as part of the Deutsche Fertighaus Holding group, then uses a Schiedel chimney exhaust. It is a chimney exhaust made of prefabricated parts. We have that too. The products are really good. Nothing gets uncomfortably warm anymore! Best regards Thorsten

Good morning,

I thought no one would answer here anymore. I was already about to unsubscribe again.

Then I definitely thank you for your reply.

Have a nice weekend.

Thanks! Same to you.

By the way, sometimes you only see a post later.

If you have any further questions - feel free to contact me via PM. After all, I also built a house with Deutsche Fertighaus Holding; the processes at Allkauf Haus and others are similar.

our fireplace also goes directly through the bedroom and you don’t notice anything at all. the fireplace is insulated for this reason as well, so it warms up faster (less loss) and thus draws well more quickly. every father who also has a fireplace at home in the old house raves about the great draft in the new building ^^

Ours so to speak sucks like the proverbial pig. Incredibly good.
