Correct, however, I am already very satisfied if non-experts realize that with modern heating technology, without sufficient planning/dimensioning, one cannot expect high energy efficiency or low consumption costs.....First, some information that surely escaped your attention. €uro earns its money precisely by making such calculations.
That is inherent in the nature of things because it usually cannot be conclusively proven, and laypersons often draw false conclusions through generalization. The devil is known to be in the details!....He occasionally gave a few general tips in the forum about what usually doesn't pay off (e.g., solar thermal systems),...
Heat pump systems are by far the most sensitive heat generators; if not everything is right here, excessive consumption costs are practically preprogrammed.
Even with trivial radiator heating systems, e.g., in combination with gas condensing boilers, energetically 20...35% better results can usually be achieved.
Since I am not only involved in planning new construction projects but also in the renovation of existing buildings, I notice all the cardinal sins that could have been avoided with exact planning beforehand.
