Hello everyone!
I am the owner of a condominium and constantly have to deal with the property management here, which keeps commissioning pointless jobs for craftsmen and thus unnecessarily driving up costs.
But to my question. The house is just under 10 years old, fully basemented, and the basement was insulated from the outside during the construction phase. The temperature does not drop below 15°C even in winter.
Today I had to find out that the gas meter (which is located in this basement) was insulated with mineral wool for thermal insulation.
I do not understand the purpose of this measure. I have never seen a thermally insulated gas meter before.
Are there regulations under which circumstances a gas meter must be thermally insulated? Does anyone know the permissible operating temperatures?
Best regards
Michael
