Regarding the insulation, I just spoke with the company Kaimann: The right product is Kaiflex Protect Aluminium-TEC (KKplus), essentially to improve the efficiency of the necessary pipe trace heating.

Regarding the system separator: No one has one here. On the consumer side of the meter, the lessor has installed a KFR valve. That should prevent backflow, right?

As a layperson, I would say yes, but I don't really have any expertise in that. Just wanted to point it out, as my plumber mentioned it during my planning...

I recently contacted a professional insulation shop that wants to put together a custom solution for me. Once it is installed, I can report back.
