Hello,
in our semi-detached house, there was previously a conservatory separated by a typical sliding door. The conservatory was already used as a fully functional room before, as underfloor heating had been installed. We have now removed the door and are connecting the room directly with the rest of the house. The conservatory borders the garage on the left, the street in front, the house on the right, and the garden with a glass front at the back (see schematic drawing).
I would like to insulate the two walls to the garage (here concrete wall from the garage side) and to the street (here brickwork from the outside). Our energy consultant, who accompanied the renovation to a KFW house, warned us against doing this just like that because it could lead to condensation and thus mold.
Since the energy consultant wants to charge a princely sum for the calculation, I would like to know in advance if anyone here has done something like this before and possibly had problems? There is still a lot of styrofoam insulation installed in the roof, which will be removed. Could I possibly use it?
Many thanks in advance
