Hello,
Since our new house has a completely terrible/old mezzanine floor insulation, we want to insulate it properly. We have already obtained 120 sqm of WLG 32 240mm Isofer. Now I have seen that the eaves box is not separated as can be seen in the first picture. I am now wondering how best to insulate the area.
1.) Do I simply lay the insulation wool neatly up to the end of the eaves box?
2.) Should the eaves box be separated, perhaps with a vertical board above the wall so that the area can then be filled with insulation wool? Like in the second picture with the yellow line drawn?
3.) As it is currently done on one side of the roof? Simply stuff the area properly? Like in picture 3?
Or how should the area be insulated properly?
For your information, the roof is insulated with an insulation above the rafters.
Neither the ceiling nor the roof has a vapor barrier, so we would do it that way again and use a "cold roof insulation." There will be no floor on the insulation wool. It remains open at the top. Only a walkway will be installed in the middle.
