Hello,

we are planning to section off a corner of our living room with an L-shaped partition wall 3x4 m with a door to create a children's room. The ceiling is 3 m high, the new parquet floor must not be drilled into 1. because of underfloor heating, 2. because the partition wall is supposed to be removed later.
What options are there? The drywaller definitely wants to drill into the floor .

We are grateful for any tips.

Shared apartment? Then you need the landlord's consent because of structural changes! Normally, the construction should be fixed to the floor, but under these conditions, it is not recommended...

How thick should the wall be?
If it is to be L-shaped, then both ends will be attached to a wall?
For soundproofing reasons, it should be doubly boarded on both sides anyway and then the whole at least 15 cm thick (10 cm stud profile + 2 x 12.5 mm gypsum board panels)
Alternatives to drilling? Hardly any.....except at your own risk without.
