Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the pure installation costs for parquet. We are about to buy a house and would like to renovate the interior. This also includes a new floor in the form of parquet. We already have the material (oak) as it is old oak parquet from my parents' former house, which we have stored. This parquet was laid in a herringbone pattern. However, it should now be laid in a random row pattern. ;) Is that actually possible?!? Or do I have to keep the pattern for some reason? It is basically an area of about 95 sqm. The parquet probably also needs to be sanded and oiled and some boards freed from old glue. Can someone maybe tell me what costs we should expect?!? Or is it perhaps not financially worthwhile to use the old parquet at all?!? I would be very happy about answers. Thank you very much in advance :)
