If heat development or UV light is to be expected from the lamp, the now unprotected individual wires must then be protected with corresponding covers, otherwise they will become brittle and crumble away.

It may not happen in 5 years, but if the insulation crumbles away in 30 years, that's also crap.

No, there should be no heat generation ... but we probably won't live here long anyway, because we want to build ourselves ;)
