Hello,
we want to plan our underfloor heating. It should be installed on a concrete ceiling from 1969. It is relatively rough. There are some bumps due to the stones in the concrete. I measured the height to the laser beam at different points with a laser level. The height difference is between 2.5 - 3 cm. Where 3 cm can already occur after 2 m distance. The installation height of the heating should be as low as possible, just like the costs :).
The new electrical cables are laid in a conduit (diameter 16 mm) on the concrete ceiling.
I would build the underfloor heating as follows: 2 mm insulation, recesses for the electric pipes, above that 1.1 cm insulation with pipe carrier board, 17 mm pipe, covering 30 mm screed.
When I spoke with some screed layers and sanitary installers, some advised me to do it as planned and others to first lay a leveling layer, on which the above-mentioned structure would then be installed. The reason is cracking in the screed. But then I add another 3 cm in height and that no longer fits with the door lintels.
What do you think?
Best regards
