If you let the oil dry well, that is not a problem.

Even if somewhat delayed. Attached are the pictures. Before installation, after installation, and after oiling.

Yes, nicely done. Did the oiling go well?

I set my windowsills with shims for the height and plenty of silicone because the foam was too risky for me due to structural conditions. I later found out that door frame foam doesn’t expand and push as strongly. Can anyone confirm this? If that’s really the case, it wouldn’t be a bad option for something you might do in the future.

Our 2K frame foam hardly expands at all. I'm surprised every time myself. The way you spray it, it stays like that about 90% of the time.

In 1K foam, the content of the can reacts with the moisture in the air outside the can. Through this reaction and the formation of carbon dioxide, the foam increases in volume and dries from the outside in. The curing process therefore takes longer.

2K foam cures through exactly 2Komonents, that is, through a chemical reaction, which is why it remains more dimensionally stable. It must be processed very quickly because for the above-mentioned reason it also cures faster. These are the advantages of 2K foam, which is why it is preferably used in the frame installation.
