Of course, it is up to each individual how they carry out an expansion that is their responsibility. We here in this forum have limited ourselves to responses that, based on practical experience, promise the maximum possible safety regarding the prevention of construction damage (and thus the success of a trade). Styrofoam boards on a gravel bed and a mechanical locking of a wood-based panel certainly do not belong to the execution variants that are promising – at least in the medium term. So I then wish much success with the execution of the (quote) "affordable as well as simple variant"! Regards: KlaRa
I understand that this is not the optimal and usual execution, or even "botched work" as I would call it, but I don’t see what could seriously go wrong here, or even cause construction damage...? At worst, the durability is reduced, or did I overlook something?
