Installation of an IKEA BESTA VEGBY door on an IKEA BESTA shelf

Hello everyone,

I am currently trying to set up my Besta shelf. After I got the middle (60x64 cm) VEGBY door, I am now wondering how to mount the associated shelf board. No matter how I do it, it doesn’t look particularly fitting. I attached a picture for you. The shelf board does not align flush with the bottom of the door. If I mount it one hole higher, the door sticks out about 2 cm.

Maybe someone has a tip or, even better, a picture of their own shelf with such a mounted door?

I think it has to be like that. Because if you install another door, it will fit perfectly again, right?

How did you manage to prevent the screws of the door handles from damaging the shelf surface? I don't think this handle solution is good because the screws of the handles protrude beyond the white plastic stoppers and thus damage the shelf surface when closing. :(

Either don’t install handles, or mount the handles a bit higher so they pass over them.
But I think I misunderstood the problem a bit. Can you post a picture? For understanding, so I can understand it correctly too.

sorry, but I had a lot going on, so I’m only getting around to responding in detail today. I have now taken pictures for better understanding and attached them below. Additionally, I have had the problem for a week that millimeter-wide gaps have formed between the shelves and the side panel on the left side of the shelf. These do not seem to be fixable by adjusting the entire shelf or by adjusting the shelf feet. I have also attached a picture of this.

I would be grateful if you could send me photos of your similar shelf assembly. At the moment, I am not particularly satisfied with the cabinet or shelf.
