Hello everyone,
we are currently going through the very last details in our polishing schedule and are still facing a challenge regarding the planned stove (or tiled stove/heating fireplace) and hope that you can provide some input here.
According to the plan, the fireplace is to be placed directly adjacent to an exterior wall. Our initial approach was to make the fireplace accessible from the outside (through the 50 cm thick exterior wall). However, the builder is anything but enthusiastic about this idea (keyword: thermal bridge, cannot guarantee airtightness in the long term).
Has anyone of you installed the cleaning door in the exterior wall? And if so, how did you do it?
Thanks and best regards from the Fuchsbau.
