Hello everyone,

we need to inform our electrician tomorrow at what height the cable for the awning should come out of the exterior wall.

The awning is supposed to be 3m wide with a projection of 3.5 to 4 meters. Is 260cm from the top edge of the finished floor okay? Unfortunately, we have not chosen an awning yet and will not be able to do so by tomorrow. Maybe it will still be okay. :)

Thank you very much for your tips

So our awning slopes quite steeply, so you have to bend down at the end to avoid hitting your head. Therefore, I would say as high as possible. You probably already have an idea of roughly where the awning should be mounted.

They do not say under 2.60m, because with a typical 15% slope over 4m length there is still 2.0m clearance height.

The first thing that would come to my mind is mounting on the suspended ceiling.
