Hello everyone,

I need to create a room partition in my basement, due to the material stored there the construction must be F30-rated. A solid build is unfortunately not possible. Building the wall in drywall with F30 rating is no problem: aluminum studs with stone wool, double plasterboard and done.
The door, however, is giving me headaches... I can't find any instructions or tips on how to install a T30 door (Padilla Innova T30) in such a drywall partition... Without the appropriate door, the whole F30 concept falls apart.

But I have definitely seen something like that before, so it must be possible...? Does anyone have any assistance or tips for me? Before it breaks out of the wall after a few openings... ;-)

Thanks in advance!
Felix

What I quickly found is that your desired door is not suitable for drywall partitions. This is a door for masonry and concrete walls. This is also stated in the scope of application in the [AbZ]. You need a door that has an approval for drywall partitions.

Note: The profiles in the drywall partition are not made of aluminum but of steel.

That's my problem... I haven't been able to find a corresponding door anywhere yet... But I have definitely seen T30 doors in drywall partitions. Yes, true... Those are steel profiles, sorry

I have also read in another forum that it does not matter which door is installed there (because it will be opened by the fire department for extinguishing). But I somehow can't really imagine that this is actually the answer. Once the door is installed and the GWA comes for inspection, it would be extremely unpleasant if the door were a reason for complaint.

T-30 door with frame is actually not an exotic item, if the hardware store has nothing, the building material supplier can surely help.
