Hello everyone,

I have already read some threads here in the forum (and generally on the internet) but most of them somehow stall after one or two answers.

Since I have already received excellent feedback in another thread on the , I would also like to try it with this topic:
Here is my concern, which is probably similar for many others:

We will soon start building our single-family house.

In the wind protection wall in front of the front door, I would like to install a flush-mounted mailbox with an intercom system.

More precisely, I have chosen a Siedle Vario system with the following components:
Bus door speaker module
2x blank module
Bus button module
Mailbox module with mail slot flap

This is how it should look.

Inside, the whole system should be connected to the telephone system, i.e., I want to use the telephone devices as intercoms and not hang separate devices on the wall.

Also, a door opener function should be possible.

Furthermore, I want to keep the option open later to expand the system with a camera or fingerprint sensor.

For this I have the following questions:

[*]How should the cable routing look?
[*]What kind of cables can I use for this (is CAT7 duplex possible?)?
[*]What modules do I have to buy for this?
[*]Which Siedle technology makes the most sense here
    (In-Home-Bus, Access (IP), 1-n-technology or 6-n-technology)?
[*]Should I rather use the "DoorCom interfaces" or the "Smart Gateway" for integration into the telephone network?
What are the advantages and disadvantages here?

Thank you very much in advance for your feedback!

I would buy and assemble the following parts individually:

At the intercom/mailbox:

[*]Siedle ATLM670-0AG Access door speaker module 210004898-00 (speaker with light button)

[*]Siedle BTM650-01AG bus button module 210004907-00 (doorbell)

    [*]Siedle BM611-0AG blank module 210004903-00 (2 covers)

    [*]Siedle GU611-4/1-0 flush-mounted housing 200016704-00
[*]Siedle BGU611-4/4-0 mailbox flush-mounted housing 200016255-00 (mailbox housing)

    [*]Siedle KR611-5/4-0AG combination frame 210004966-00 (plaster-in frame)

In the control cabinet:

    [*]Siedle SG150-0 Smart Gateway 210007449-00
[*]Siedle ANG600-0 Access power supply 200041605-00

At the front door:

[*]additionally a door opener (to be arranged with the front door supplier)

The wiring would then be done in my view as follows:

[*]From control cabinet (power supply) to intercom/mailbox
[*]From control cabinet (power supply) to front door (door opener)
[*]From control cabinet (Smartgateway/DoorCom) to Fritzbox (telephone system)

In addition, the outdoor light should also be able to be turned on via the intercom. Is it possible to connect to the existing lighting situation without any problems?

Who knows their stuff doesn’t need to ask such questions. Leave Elli alone.

That is of course correct. That's why I'm asking. :-)

I wouldn't do the whole thing completely on my own either. A friend of mine (a trained electrician himself) would support me.

However, it's important to me to roughly understand the system and be able to estimate how much saving potential implementing it on my own holds. For that, I would like to know which components I really need for my case :-)

Hence my questions...
