Hello,

I have a problem installing a sink in a thick countertop. Specifically, it concerns the Hälvikken sink. Unfortunately, the clamps used to secure the sink are too short to reach under the countertop. Has anyone ever had this problem and knows a solution?

Thank you in advance!!

5.8cm, just barely too thick for the claws.

Hello Fred80,

What is the countertop made of? If it is compatible with the material, I would glue it with sanitary silicone.

Hello,

if the board is made of a wood-based material, you could remove some material from the underside of the countertop at the places where the claws are located. If the cutout has not yet been made, for example with a large Forstner bit (approx. 5-10 mm deep).
