Hi all,

we need to install roller shutters afterwards. Only external roller shutters are possible, which is also fine. Unfortunately, we cannot avoid a cable duct for the power supply. Two alternatives have been mentioned to extend the power supply from existing sockets to the external box. 1) From inside the house, a hole is drilled directly next to the socket to the outside (Poroton including interior and exterior plaster), and then from outside the cable is laid in a cable duct and inserted into the cable duct. The cable duct is then practically glued to the exterior wall and carries the cable up (about 1.5 meters) to the box. 2) Install the cable duct inside, run the cable inside the duct upwards from inside, and then make the wall breakthrough.

Are there any advantages or disadvantages for a cable duct on the exterior facade, or are both options identical and merely a matter of taste?

Thanks

Option 3, lay cable under plaster, fill, paint wall.

Plague or cholera.

Slash inside and clean over it again and paint it.
Everything else is stupid.

Are we talking about a window?

Also advocate for variant 3. It is even cost-effective to implement in EL. Avoid cable ducts if possible. Dirt will have to be made anyway if holes need to be drilled for the switch.

Yes, exactly. The option would actually be the best, I will follow up on that. Thanks. But between both options, which one would be better?

Better? Probably neither is better than the other. But option 1 will probably be nicer for you. Then you don’t have to keep looking at the cable duct (in return, your neighbors will constantly be looking at the ducts outside ==> as if to say: can’t they even build properly...).
