Transition periods or weather changes should be quickly heated without the heat pump having to work itself to death. So just warm up for 2 hours in the morning.
In addition, we need something for hanging the towels in use. We simply also find the radiator pretty for that.

Just a serious question. What's the problem with towels? We hang ours up after showering/bathing and the next time they are bone dry.

On the topic of infrared panel: I have two cheap ones from the internet with a stated power of 600W each hanging on the wall in the hobby room (basement). The actual power consumption is 590 watts. They emit a pleasant warmth and have been running for several years. So I can’t say anything bad about the cheap panels. Sure, the design can’t keep up with the more expensive ones, but I don’t care about that in this use case ;-)

Sure, the towels also dry by hanging, but my wife, for example, likes a dry AND PRE-WARMED towel... that’s why towel warmers. They don’t contribute to "heating along" the room.

We installed two metal rods for hanging towels in front of the tiles with underfloor heating. It looks better than such a bulky radiator, and the towels dry in every season. Additional heating has not been necessary for a single day.
