Hello dear forum community,
we have the following problem:
Last week the construction company started with the string line framework and also with the excavation work. The strip foundation was dug and the channels were laid and surrounded with gravel. Yesterday the concrete mixer arrived and the dug strips were filled with concrete and then they wanted to start setting the shuttering blocks. But then they noticed that the string line framework was 12 cm off (it was drawn in the plan including 12 cm insulation, but it should have been without this insulation). Now they say it still works out, they just have to reposition the reinforcement and shift the shuttering blocks 12 cm inward. The channels also have to be slightly modified. Now I have the following concerns: if they move 12 cm further inward, the concrete is not with me all the way to the bottom but only about 10 cm thick, because it was widened a bit upwards. Also, the channel pipes do not fit in all places. The foreman says, however, that this is not a problem because the shuttering blocks mostly rest on the foundation, which goes all the way down.
Do you think there could be a problem here?
Thank you very much for your answers!
