Who were these "experts" – installers from the construction company...
... who apparently already back then were rather unconvincing?
It seems to me that various things regarding shape, fit, and axis are "not entirely straight," and little helps (except the last one) other than lubrication. Door frames standing on the floor (even with an air gap) probably aren’t exactly top class either. I hope the warranty hasn’t expired or been interrupted yet. During the warranty period, the contractor does have the right to carry out repairs. However, that does not mean letting the contractor himself assess what counts as a defect instead of an expert. Discuss this with a specialist lawyer and involve an appraiser.
We really were lucky with the house construction company. As in every company, different people work on a project. Some convince, others less so. Overall, it was a good decision. I wouldn’t always involve a lawyer, even though that is common practice nowadays because no one wants to back down.
