Hello everyone,
first of all, thank you very much for the numerous posts, I have been a passive member of this forum for a while, now active! :)
After helpful forum research, I was able to determine that impact sound insulation on screed/under the floor covering (in my case oak parquet boards from Parador) only achieves marginal success in reducing impact noise (footstep noise in the apartment below).
However, I would like your advice. 10mm of possible "sound insulation" are available, which I would like to use as sensibly as possible.
I was already thinking about several layers of different or the same materials? Or a different, thicker material?
Since I obtained the floor covering relatively cheaply, I am also open to somewhat more expensive tips.
Thanks in advance for reading, I hope someone can help me.
