I like something like that too. How thick is the wall with the niche?

Attached freshly measured.

The last picture is the width of the niche.

I don’t think something like that can be implemented in an 11.5 cm brick interior wall. Even if the niche were a little less deep, there is nothing "behind" anymore towards the other room. Or does someone see it differently?

Currently, I am thinking about such shelves that can be mounted without drilling. So those that "clamp" into the joint and are held in place by the tiles.

Yes, that’s exactly why I am asking... I’m afraid it might not work in solid construction.

I still have to clarify that with my construction company.

Of course, it might be that I am worrying for nothing. After all, the VOB contract for the drywall installer is already signed at home... I just thought so far that he would only do the ceiling on the upper floor. But it might be that he is planned for the shower wall anyway.

In that case, a glass panel would be more suitable than the drywall anyway; you gain about 10cm in width for the shower. Unless the fittings can be installed in the outer wall (bottom of the plan), you could then add some drywall there (and create a niche ).

A glass pane will not work, as the towel radiator will be placed on this wall...
Furthermore, we would prefer to have as few glass panes as possible in the shower, as we are slowly tired of wiping them off...
