Hello everyone,
I bought two large Ribba frames (50x50) two weeks ago and tried to hang them on the wall yesterday. The wire construction is included for this purpose. I have now screwed two screws (with wall plugs) per frame into the wall, with a distance of about 10 cm. However, I have my doubts whether the wire will actually hold the relatively heavy frames, and since they hang exactly above the bench in the dining room, it would be very unpleasant if they fell down... I have already tried to tighten the wire as much as possible, but somehow it always loosens a bit... Does anyone of you also have the large Ribba frames or similar on the wall, and if so, how did you hang them?
Thank you very much :)

I have had a 3 kg frame on the wall for years. At the back, there is a sagging wire between the hangers that hangs on a nail hook. If you only have one attachment point on the wall and use the wire, it has the advantage that you can always hang the picture perfectly straight very easily.

Thank you for the answer! Yes, I also find the straight hanging quite practical. Did you pull the wire very tight or does it hang loosely?

It hangs straight down, otherwise it won't work and the forces will become too great.
