Hello everyone! I was able to observe the phenomenon with my black high-gloss foil-Besta fronts, especially after the protective film was removed. They were statically charged. A visit to the local drugstore, bought a furniture care spray with antistatic effect for 1.29, and since then it's been quiet! Regards

Only furniture spray helps. We do not smoke, but the odd thing does sometimes get charged.

Hi,

such phenomena usually occur when no carpets or curtains etc. are used at all because dust mainly accumulates there. Either, as already described, furniture spray, or a few curtains or a plush carpet.

Stupid question - What does Ikea have to do with it if, for some reason, some kind of dirt or soot is present in your kitchen?

The causes of the fogging are not yet clearly understood, but it is easy to imagine that, for example, with a RINGHUKT front, plasticizers, stabilizers, etc. evaporate, combine with dust, and then leave a black film especially at the edges from wall to ceiling.

Here is a quite interesting/informative contribution to the phenomenon of fogging:

What fogging is not.
Experience shows that a whole range of seemingly possible causes can be ruled out. Thus, it is not about:

[*]External influences, i.e. emissions from industrial plants
[*]Influences from the nearby environment, for example from heavily trafficked roads
    [*]Impacts from ventilation systems
[*]Soot deposits from stoves, chimneys, ventilation systems, candles, torches or other open flames

The coating also forms regardless of whether smoking takes place in rooms or not. However, the aerosol content is higher in smoker’s apartments.

Likewise, the type of heating (central heating, underfloor heating, etc.) has no influence on the fogging problem. It occurs with all types of heating.

During the summer half-year, in which constant air exchange takes place in the apartments, accumulations of the so-called SVOC in the air almost never occur. It is striking that the fogging effect never occurs in office rooms, but almost exclusively in living spaces. This will be examined in more detail later.
