Hello,

No, on p. 11 it is shown that the grid is to be discarded.
Ikea.com/de/de/assembly_instructions/bejublad-backofen__AA-718049-3.pdf

The screws are overall 25 mm long, the bottom is 18 mm thick. It cannot be due to the length of the screws.

I do not understand.

I would remove the rails again and try to screw them to the bottom first. Maybe this will reveal what the problem is.

At least almost. Do the undersides of the rails have a distance of 169 mm from the bottom as specified?

Screw up the feet as shown on p. 14.

Yes, it is shown starting on p. 11.

Hello!

Many thanks for your quick help. A new, somewhat special question arises, since there is a deviation from the Ikea installation:

A carcass with Maximera drawers is about 1.5 cm too wide because there is a wall protrusion in the way. I would have to remove about 10 cm from the front part of the carcass. I can place the holes from the carcass directly against the wall and thus replace the last row of holes with holes in the wall. In other words: the first hole of the drawer rails will then be on the wall; the rear ones remain on the carcass. Logically, I will also have to saw the drawers on the side a bit. The approximately 1.8 cm wall thickness can basically be sawed off without problems there. But: I have drawer fronts made of stainless steel (Grevsta). Do you think they can be sawed? Or rather bend the stainless steel away, saw the wood, and then close the stainless steel again?

Now some notes/explanations for your very good help points:

1.) I idiot never had the instructions for the dishwasher and oven. No wonder it was difficult.

No, on page 11 it is shown that the grid should be discarded.

2.) In the Utrusta instructions for the board under the oven the explanation is poor and the grid is not discarded! It is also still on some pictures at the bottom in the link you sent. Whether it is still needed or not I find relatively unclear...

I do not understand.

I would take the rails out again and try to screw them to the floor first. Perhaps this will reveal more clearly what the problem is.

3.) Rightly so, it was also written complicatedly. The thread is designed like a “drain,” meaning it sits even deeper. And even after removal (good idea!) the screws could not reach the thread. I had to enlarge the screw entrances further so that the head really lay flush with the board. So really (untypically) made inaccurately.

At least almost. Do the undersides of the rails have a distance of 169 mm from the floor as specified?

4.) I have now also seen the 169 mm for the first time in the new "instructions". Thanks!

Yes, it is shown from page 11.

5.) Instruction for the dishwasher -> Thanks, also seen for the first time!

Best regards Fritz

It should always go at the very bottom, if an oven is indicated, then leave it out. Depending on where the connection box (with the hole in the back wall in front of it) is located, the connection cable still has to pass along the bottom. The grid would be obstructive there.

The screw head is about 3.5 mm high, leaving 21.5 mm of thread, so 3.5 mm protrudes. That then becomes really a bit tight, and one could expect that on one side of the bottom the holes are countersunk.

When shortening the stainless steel front, I think bending away - sawing off - bending back will not lead to a satisfactory result. Have you ever tried to straighten bent sheet metal again by hammering? My solution ideas are:
A) Completely saw off and glue or screw the sheet metal from the remaining piece on (the side facing the wall will not be seen) or
B) set the cutting depth of a table saw so that it cuts the wood but not the sheet metal. Then remove the wood and bend the sheet metal. That can certainly also be done at a metal workshop.

Hello IKEA expert,
thank you very much – are you actually a craftsman or do you just have some knowledge?
Are you occasionally in Berlin or do you know someone there who a) can finish the kitchen and b) is skilled enough to do this "special thing"?

I would gladly like to hire him and finish building the kitchen with him.

Thank you very much for a quick info

Fritz

Hello Fritz, I am just a handyman. Most of it comes to me from a certain amount of experience and pure logic. The people I know in Berlin would be anything but helpful to you. I would also have the GREVSTA front shortened, as I lack the tools for a clean result. You can't buy everything.

Hello IKEA expert,
I have to bother you once again - slowly but surely.

1. On the dishwasher manual, there is always a third leg shown at the back in the middle. I only have 2 black feet at the front and can’t find a third one. Do you know how the thing gets its foot at the back?

2. Are you really supposed to just stick those strange sealing strips to the side? The drawing there is a bit unclear, but I don’t understand its function. Then the non-adhesive part of the strip just hangs there in the gap between the door and the appliance?

Thank you
Fritz
