Ikea Improve attach floor edge boards advice sought

Hello people,
I need your advice on installing the Förbättra cover panels. How are they screwed on?
The carcass is 59 cm deep and the cover panel is 61.5 cm deep. Should it now be screwed on flush at the back with the end of the carcass so that it protrudes 2.5 cm? This is not clear in the instructions.

Hello, with the hanging rail the corpus is 60 cm deep. The top panel covers the gap between the corpus and the wall, the remaining 1.5 cm then roughly align with the front. If you did not use a rail, you have to shorten the top panels or let them protrude at the front, if it doesn't bother you and you are willing to accept that a door may open less wide.
