Hello everyone,

I have the idea to use an Expedit shelf as a TV stand. The product description explicitly mentions a "horizontal" use here as well. The question is, if I put the unit on feet or casters, planned are 6, two at each corner and two in the middle, will it support a 37" LCD TV plus hi-fi equipment? Or will the whole thing break through? Has anyone perhaps done something like this and can share their experience?

Thank you very much and best regards

Hello!

My question follows exactly on the same topic, namely, if anyone has experience with the load of an Expedit "2x4" used sideways. Is it possibly usable as a bench, so that it can hold 2 people, that is about 150kg?

Hej hello,

I can only recommend the LACK shelf (horizontal) to you:
It supports a 106cm plasma TV, which has not caused any collapse for 2 years now, and the product description explicitly states that it can also be used as a bench.

groetjes,
Alex
