Ikea Billy shelf in black-brown

Hello everyone,

I have a question about the Billy shelf in black. It can no longer be found on the online presence, and I wanted to order a few more. Instead, there are now ones in an outdated brown and in gray?!
The question is whether the shelf in black is no longer being sold or if a new collection is coming out? If it's the latter, is the shade at least the same? It would look odd if, for example, additional shelves for the previously purchased units had a different shade.

In Germany, the IKEA Billy shelf in black-brown is no longer available. Holland or Austria continue to sell the Billy shelf.

Thanks for the info! I also read on a bargain site that they were apparently being dumped in the furniture stores at the beginning of the month... I’m really impressed. It also doesn’t look like they want to release a new version, at least not in black?! Apparently, you can’t order Finnby online either. Well, then I’ll return the other shelves to them. That’s no use to me anymore.

EDIT: Another question, which probably fits better in another sub-forum, but I didn’t want to start another thread. I saw that you can buy the Besta corpus and the shelves separately, and that combination would still be suitable as a replacement for the Billy shelf in black(brown). Does anyone know if the black-brown is the same or at least "almost similar" on both products? Otherwise, I would order them directly before they get removed as well.

To me, it all looks pretty much the same, but I don't like black-brown either. Take a look at it in the original. Maybe you already don't like the hollow cardboard lid construction of BESTA.
