Hello,

we are having problems with the installation or insertion of the drawers in the Besta furniture.

It concerns two 60 cm elements side by side. Another one is placed on the right element. Drawers are supposed to go into these two lower elements. The two right drawers worked quite well, but the smaller upper left drawer fits in crooked and slanted and is too low; it touches the lower large drawer front.

Here are some pictures; maybe you can tell from them if something is wrongly attached or screwed:

Planned cabinet:

Left stubborn drawer, left rail:

Left stubborn drawer, right rail:

Right functioning drawer, left rail:

Right functioning drawer, right rail:

Corpus left drawer, left side:

Corpus left drawer, right side:

If I should show a photo with the inserted drawer, that will be possible again tomorrow morning.

I thought I had already read something on this topic here, but I can't find it anymore. Maybe I just dreamed it.

Thanks in advance for tips.

Hello, it is difficult to find an error with the pictures because the comparison is hard due to different perspectives. Is it okay if the right drawer is installed on the left?

Well, when I came home in the evening, my husband had already repositioned the drawers in the left section (and probably drilled new holes for that):

He wants to do the same on the right now. However, they are not quite sitting correctly on the left yet, but I guess he'll manage that:

Although I suspect something was wrong before; I can't imagine that the rails have to be repositioned. But he says he measured everything precisely and the drawer and rails were the same on the left and right – and still the top left drawer didn't fit.

We couldn't conclusively clarify the swapping of the drawers.

If the right one had fit, I would have guessed incorrect installation of the front (as is often the case with the bottom drawer at Metod), but now it doesn't matter.

Thank you, I will check tonight - the fronts are not switched after all.

By the way, each of your drawer slides is missing a screw. A screw also needs to be screwed in at the very front (into the free hole of the slide in your case), see the assembly instructions! This screw must be used because the rear screw of the slides only sits "in paper and air." There is no particle board in the corpus at the rear screw. If the drawer is then loaded and pulled out, the center of gravity lies at the front. This means the slide pushes up at the back and it can happen that the screw then tears out and the drawer drops down. So screw in the missing screw at the very front (there is a built-in particle board in the corpus here)!
