By leniency I meant that you can't plan something to be exactly the same length/width to the meter, maybe there is a meter of leniency in the difference of length/width?

No, of course not, but I could have imagined that one would say the length/width must be the same within one meter, simply because it seems pointless to me to artificially distort the floor plan just so that every side is exactly the same length.
