It depends... I wouldn't consider it universally valid and it also depends on whether a controlled residential ventilation system is installed.
We have HKV, the heat pump (not a split unit) with an integrated fresh water tank and the heating storage tank as well as various electronics (NAS, switch, router, cable connection, multiswitch) in the rather small HTR (6 sqm), we always have it a bit warmer there in winter than in the rest of the house (about 2°).
I also know that in my old apartment the gas boiler (or rather the exhaust pipe) heated the kitchen (without its own heating).
