Hello everyone,

Below ground level there are special collars for cables or pipes through the outer wall. But how is it if you want to lead cables outside above [GOK]? For example, exterior lighting or outdoor socket for terrace/balcony.

We are going to install 18 mm [WDVS] (mineral wool). Therefore, I am considering how electrical cables should be led outside.

"Through a hole!?"

Your question is not fully formulated. Seal it so that no water can run behind the ETICS at the cable?
Please specify the problem more precisely. :)

oh, unfortunately I also have a lot of typos and grammar mistakes.

How is it best to lead cables from the inside to the outside so that it is also sealed. I think the important area would be where the cable goes from the insulation to the outside. In other words, insulation and exterior plaster, so that the insulation does not absorb water.

leave that to the house builder for warranty purposes. If you make a mistake there, it can destroy the wall (and yes, such things do happen)

However, we did it ourselves after consultation with our timber construction company:
Drilled through from the inside for cables, slightly larger than necessary. Then sealed from the inside (10cm solid wood wall) with plenty of cartridge sealant (in front only drywall came afterward). This is NOT silicone but permanent. Silicone needs to be renewed occasionally. sealed from the outside as well (before the ETICS came). Then led into wind(water)-tight boxes in the ETICS at the front. Socket or lamp attached, done. But individually sealed every (insulation) plug in the plaster for lamps etc. with cartridge sealant (pre-drill hole, put in sealant, push plug in all the way until the sealant slightly oozes out). Work carefully! A 1mm² small hole can already let enough water through.

You don't necessarily have to improvise, there are some products specifically made for that: e.g. from Eisedicht, Kaiser also offers a range of sealing sleeves. They are sorted according to cable diameter, available as double or single conduits, and with Eisedicht you can also choose different materials, depending on whether you want to do the sealing in the wall plane or in the insulation layer (i.e., whether you want to plaster over the sealing).

Do you still remember what kind of cartridge sealant that was? Regarding water, sealing the exterior wall doesn't really make sense, since no water should get behind the mineral wool anyway. The weak point would practically be the cable entry between the mineral wool and the exterior plaster.
But you're right about the blower door test, the cable at the exterior wall must be sealed there, as I believe the interior plaster is considered the airtight layer.

Oh cool, I know those parts for the roof when there is a cable or pipe entry there. So that means you could also use them for the exterior wall. (Example Poroton hollow brick.)
But the weak point at the cable entry between the mineral wool and the exterior plaster still remains.
