Hello everyone,

I'm just racking my brain a bit.
We have Poroton masonry.
The plasterer said that I should simply make a smooth coat with cheap tile adhesive, on which I then stick the vapor barrier..

Question for you:
How and with what have you made the wall connections?

Regards

Professional tip: Choose a wooden house, that way you save yourself the smoothing coat

Seriously: Yes, smoothing coat and then with approved adhesive from the cartridge, e.g. Sxxx Primur

What should be used for plastering afterward? Lime-cement plaster? Then use that. If it needs to dry quickly, use construction adhesive/tile adhesive (not the expensive flexible adhesive). Do not stick the foil under tension, but loosely so that it does not come off later. Ideally, use an embedabble pressing rail for additional security. I think the DIN standard also requires a mechanically firm connection. Whether the adhesives actually provide this without additional tension support, I do not know – with most craftsmen, you can probably be glad if they use an approved adhesive and apply it CONTINUOUSLY as a bead and not just in spots.

Question: I don't want to convert the attic at the moment. However, I would like to install the vapor barrier on the ridge beam in such a way that I could convert it later. How should I best do that? Regards
