Hello,

I am currently trying to fight my way through the jungle of insurances.
My main focus is on a building insurance and a term life insurance.
"Unfortunately," I read the contract terms down to the smallest detail and it makes you feel sick how many things are excluded or limited.

How did you proceed when choosing your insurances?
I am very skeptical towards brokers, which was also confirmed in an insurance case with my wife.
Unfortunately, you only recognize a good insurance when you need it.

I would be very happy to hear about your experiences.

Best regards
Judyyy

I am not skeptical towards brokers. Except for our health insurance, I have taken out all other insurances through an independent broker, always the same one. He insured us with rhion Haus, with the Badische Haftpflicht, etc., with condor Auto, with deurag Legal protection. The instruction was, do not insure us cheaply, but cost-effectively. In case of damage, he is also my contact person. Karsten

The small print is almost the same everywhere. In this respect, I save myself some time. I compare on Verivox or Check24... of course with the knowledge that they too are paid by someone. My need must be satisfied. I also googled residential building insurance via Check24, but then concluded it directly locally. A friend of mine used to be an insurance clerk: they often show a lot of goodwill if several insurances have been concluded with them. Mobile greetings on the go

That's how it is, as the respected previous speaker says: You can hope for goodwill/help with a skillful presentation of a case if you are a good customer somewhere. Good customer means: Not a contract shopper who cancels every year to take advantage of the introductory offer for new customers, this week 1 Weber gas grill for every new contract! The success of a more fruitful cooperation lies in a steady and trust-based business relationship.

When it comes to insurance, I mainly rely on experiences within my circle of acquaintances. Of course, you can always choose the cheapest option, but whether that is always advisable is another matter.

With a term life insurance, I probably won't find out whether it was wise to take it out there. I just hope so. Here too, I searched on Check24 and then looked at reviews. I ended up with an insurance company whose name is similar to the capital of Lower Saxony. Apart from the deduction of the annual insurance premium, I haven't made any claims yet... ;-)

For the residential building insurance, I relied on choosing one that is as well-known and established as possible (starting with an A and a blue logo). Since there are considerable values at stake here. I also took out the household insurance there right away. Then you get a discount—the more insurances, the cheaper it gets. Since this insurance is also quite common among acquaintances, there are plenty of experiences available, and 95% are positive.

Hello,

and thank you for your participation.
At first, I am not concerned with cheap, inexpensive, or affordable.
I just don't feel like arguing endlessly in the event of damage about whether the damage was caused by rainwater, heavy rainwater, groundwater, condensate water, or meltwater.
And if only 1% of the insured sum is reimbursed and you might have a deductible, then I might as well skip the insurance.

In my life, I have really never made a claim on insurance and would only really use it in a "worst case," but then I want to be able to rely on it.

Regards
Judyyy
