How to descale at 44* dH

What does "viel nachkippen" mean in kg approximately? I would be interested in how much, how often, and with how many people...

We do not yet have a steady state, 4 people. The first 25kg lasted for 3 months.

We live in Lower Franconia, a beautiful area with a lot of Muschelkalk in the soil...

Wow... I didn't even know until just now that there are such water hardness levels in Germany. That it is then possibly labeled as drinking water is absurd. Good luck finding the right system! Hopefully you find something that helps and isn’t too expensive.

There are definitely solutions, but somehow very costly, especially regarding ongoing costs.

Also come from the area around Wü.. but only soften from 22 to 8. More wouldn't be possible (nor sensible) because otherwise we would exceed the sodium limit. Close to the limit as we are now, for example, I wouldn't prepare baby food with it anymore. What I mean is: if you want to drink the water, you can't just "add salt" as you please.
