Not citric acid, that can cause superficial changes. Vinegar is okay.

How do you descale other things? Use Akupads, then you will also remove the limescale where it is stubborn.

That's true. But they still bother me, though I don't exactly know why ;-) Everything else I soak accordingly in citric acid or vinegar or clean regularly so that no stubborn lime can accumulate. Thanks for the tip, I didn't know Akupads before.

You can also try soaking some kitchen paper with the descaling mixture and then placing it on the stains to soak.

Faucets? Do you unscrew them? Anyway: Akupads are nothing new or a miracle cure, if you don't have them, aluminum foil works too, all common household means that the householder or lady uses for everyday cleaning where the surface does not need to be protected.
