Hello experts! We have the following problem to solve and we would greatly appreciate helpful comments from you on the following topic: 1. My neighbor's house is 13cm higher than ours. 2. The distance between the end of our terrace and the wall of our neighbor's house is 6.3m (4.3m our garden and 2.0m our neighbor’s). 3. We are wondering/how we should best resolve this height difference? 3.1 With L-bricks on our neighbor's property 3.2 By "distorting the terrain" proposal of our neighbor's landscape designer 3.3 or? THANK YOU and best wishes!

Are we really talking about 13cm over 6m here? That would be 2cm per meter or 2% slope. The slope your terrace should have. That’s why you can easily warp it without seeing anything.

Thank you for your quick response !
It is correct that it is 13cm floor surface to floor surface.
Since our 3.16m terrace also has an average slope of 1.5%, the height difference is probably around 17cm over 6m.
However, these 17cm go upwards from our side and not as a downward slope.
And that's not so great, right?

How does the neighbor intend to solve this? Is he going to leave his house standing that far above the terrain? Or was the slight slope already there in the original terrain?

The neighbor is not allowed to channel surface water over to you.

Thank you for your answer ! My neighbor has so many plans, he just pays and does what his garden designer says. Tomorrow we have a joint meeting. The slope was already there and must be maintained. It is mandatory in our district in Munich. Correctly, he has to worry about his surface water. The question is, what is the nicest for me?

3.4. Small embankment with colorful low hedge on top of your neighbor's
3.5. Small embankment with colorful low hedge on top of your neighbor's. This time, however, with some soil brought over to you so that you can also plant a few nice plants.

I don't really see any real slope. It seems to be gravel underneath anyway. If the soil on top is not compacted, everything would be insured anyway, or so I would have said.
