In the shop where we had custom-made items, the length of the side guide was also accurate to the millimeter. This has the advantage that I didn't have to adjust anything and the pleated blind runs perfectly straight. 4 holes, attach the plastic clip, slide on the pleated foot, and the job is done; if a pleated blind is crooked for us, the window frame is crooked.
The crookedness is usually not due to pushing it up crookedly, but to the incorrect length of the guide cords; the cords do not go from bottom left to top left but cross inside the pleated blind rail.
