How much equity is used when purchasing land?

My question is already stated above. If we buy our property, what percentage of equity goes in when the property is also partially paid for by the loan? Our financing has been applied for and we would like to know in advance how much of our equity will be used. Thank you in advance for your experiences and answers :)

The amount you specified as equity for the financing will (most likely, because banks want the equity to be used up first) flow in. But ultimately it does not matter at all, since your financing is based on a calculation in which all costs must be paid and your equity is thus tied up for the construction now.

I do not understand your question. If you can pay for the property completely with equity, then pay it. Then you can take the loan later.
If the equity is not enough, you have to pay the rest with the loan.

Ah, then I thought correctly. We did not state our entire equity, but retained 20%. I thought the bank might not want to have the full amount of the stated equity immediately for the land purchase.

A retention for potential cost overruns arising during construction or necessary purchases (kitchen, furniture) definitely makes sense.
It also sometimes makes sense to have some money on hand to (pre)pay invoices.
So you did the right thing (although it depends on how much the remaining 20% actually are - but I don't necessarily need to know ;)).
