My dream house will cost about 300,000 euros. How much equity do I have to/should I at least contribute to the construction financing?

It is assumed that at least 20% equity capital is required. However, you should discuss this with the financing bank. Other factors also come into play, such as income, collateral, own contributions, etc. – only your bank can calculate this individually with you.

Hello, in Germany it is the case that equity of at least 20% should be available. A part of this can also be provided in the form of a so-called Muskelhypothek. This means that the corresponding own contribution is made.
