How much does our house insulation cost?

Hello everyone! I am in the process of planning a house and am about to sign the contract. The house has 2 floors with 60sqm downstairs and 60 upstairs. Double-shell masonry construction with 17.5 aerated concrete, standard 12 cm insulation and clinker brick. Would 14 cm insulation be much more expensive? It’s only the material cost, right? How much could it be..?

You have to ask your provider. Or are you doing the insulation yourself? If not, it costs exactly what your provider charges for it. Completely independent of the material price.
A change in the building materials always means a recalculation of the energy certificate, unless your provider already has a template for this.

What do you want to achieve with the *extra* insulation, apart from the fact that it comes at the expense of floor space? What surcharge does your BU charge?

Hello everyone, it is generally also possible to provide the materials such as insulation to the main contractor or other trades if you can get it cheaper... Then you only negotiate the labor cost, right? If the main contractor doesn't agree, you ask another one. You are not tied to a main contractor when you tender the work. Regards Frank
