Two questions that are currently on our minds.

We are building a prefab house with approximately 120 sqm of living space. The entire settlement is heated with liquid gas.
How large does the tank need to be? Should the tank be purchased (underground) or rather rented?

Who has experience?

Thanks in advance!

If the whole settlement paints their houses brown, will you do it too? Do you have to heat with liquefied gas (development plan, other regulations)? If not, I would have a heating load calculation done and choose the most suitable heat generator for you! That can, but does not have to be liquefied gas!

In a neighboring development area to us, there is also no gas pipeline. Everyone there uses ground-water heat pumps for heating. The usefulness of this solution is debatable, but the fundamental question from is correct.

@ Building expert: Unfortunately, I cannot provide more detailed information yet, as we are still in the planning stage. @ Wastl: We do not want pellets. An air heat pump is too expensive for us to purchase. So we are not painting our house brown just because everyone else is doing it. Additionally, a fireplace will be installed.... but this does not play a decisive role for my inquiry for now. The tip about the heating load calculation is good. Today we received a tip from the LRA on where we can find out about this (Energiezentrum Allgäu). So thanks for the hints.

If you decide on liquefied gas, compare the prices carefully. Especially the aspect of renting and buying the tank. When renting, you are often tied to a specific supplier, which then often reflects in the price of the gas. When buying, you have relatively free choice. Therefore, research and calculate beforehand here.
