Hello, I have a question for the experts here. We want to build a new house and are looking for an architect. One was recommended to us and he is quite nice. He has already done quite a bit and that without a contract. Now he wants a contract from us and brought us the contract last Monday. We had some questions about it and sent them to him by email on Thursday. We had made some adjustments to the floor plans. Unfortunately, he has not gotten back to us until today and that frustrates us. Is that normal in this industry? Thank you very much for your help.

Well, you are already frustrated after just a few days. Give the architect more time and your project is not the only one. He certainly has quite a bit to take care of.

Hi Sara, you need to be very patient and you can already prepare yourself for the waiting involved in house construction. But you also have to give it enough time, especially since the weekend was in between. For me, it is better to take a little longer but be more precise. In this sense All the best

You of course have to give the appropriate time for this. At this point, putting pressure on the architect does not help at all. He is also managing several projects and each one needs its time.

I see it this way, the architect needs his time until he can prepare a statement. If he gets pressure, then mistakes creep in and that can often become more expensive.

These gentlemen often need to be handled with kid gloves. Quite clearly, he needs his time to properly prepare the project. If there is a dispute like this from the start, it will continue later on.
