How is the foundation carried out on a gentle slope?

Hello,

we are still planning our house. Specifically, it should be a bungalow like in the picture, which has more of an L shape. As you can see from the height measurements, we have a slight slope. We want to build without a basement, and since it should also be possible to enter the upper garden area (Ggü-SiB) through a terrace door, we want the house to be at the level of the terrace there. This ultimately means that in the lower part of the house we are about 90 cm above ground. Now my question is: how is this done with the frost protection edge and subsequently with the floor slab? Excavate the frost protection edge everywhere with the slope and then everywhere above the 0 level (border to the grassland) before pouring the frost protection edge, additionally attach formwork to get the whole thing to the 0 level? How are the 90 cm then filled? With gravel that is compacted firmly? Am I correct with my assumption? Thanks in advance!

Best regards, Tom

Where is north?

Where is the street?

Show us where the terrace will go.

Usually, the area of the terrace / house is then filled. Then the house is also founded to be frost-proof.

Hi,

the arrow points north, access to the property is via the right road and below the property is the main road.

all clear, so best is to do it as I described: first remove topsoil, then frost skirt, level out the difference in height with formwork and pour everything with concrete, then fill with gravel and then the floor slab?
Fill under the terrace right away as well?

Depends. The slope is about the same as in our new development area. The easiest is if you fill up around the house later anyway, then the slope doesn’t matter (filling up around the house is not the same as leveling the entire property!). Otherwise, we also have the option to gravel the entire area under the house plus a strip around it 1m deep.

One consideration is also to shorten the house towards the slope. Then you have less height difference in the area of the house.

How many m2 of living space should it be?

Should a carport, garage, or parking space be built? With level access to the house?

What is the current or planned development in the area of your property?

Is there a building envelope / development plan?
