How high should the verge flashing stand above the last tile?

[B]Hello, our roof is almost finished and the side facade with ETICS is reinforced, now the verge flashing can be installed, we want the narrowest possible verge flashing without verge tiles, of course everything must be well covered, the gable side in question is the west. The tinsmith and roofer, both from the site for safety reasons, say the flashing must protrude at least 4-5 cm beyond the last tile. I have also seen houses where it was flush (which we do not want). Aren't 2-3 cm sufficient?[/B]
